WHO IS CUDDLY DOG? The Cuddly Dog Book/Story

Cuddly Dog Book

Cuddly Dog is a recently created Children's Book with illustrations.  It is available in traditional book format, and also in e-book format for Kindle, and various downloadable media readers.

Cuddly Dog was created over ten years ago. It took many years to give him a voice and personality, and this actually developed by his interaction with his little green pal, Froggy Froggur.

The story is about a big dog, possibly a dark, golden retriever, but the breed is never specified. This is so the reader can use whatever dog he likes to be the character of Cuddly Dog in his own mind.
Anyways, I always thought of him as the sort-of Big Brother, or Uncle, or even the summer camp counselor, that is always there for the other characters. He acts as their Guardian and source of reliable knowledge and experience. A true and loyal friend...like a Dog.
The story opens with the friends getting together to go fishing. This leads to a picnic, and some more fishing. Eventually the day comes to an end and they watch the stars come out before going home.
The book, itself, was almost lost forever. Several publishing companies showed no interest in the story, and it was only through sheer determination that the story made it to the published, and electronic format. We give special thanks to the people at Fastpencil who made the birth of Cuddly Dog into literature a possibility.
We look forward to bringing many more adventures of Cuddly Dog and his little friends to you. With the help of Blogger, we can even share some of the insights into the characters, and some of the inspirations of the scenery in the drawings.
For example, the imagined woods that is used to show their nighttime walk...this is actually based on a real location. I personally call it Cuddly Dog Land, and go their quite often. In reality, it is known as part of the Monocacy National Battlefield located just north of Washington, D.C.
So, for now, I'll go. But I will return. Because this isn't the last we've heard of Cuddly Dog.
