Cuddly Dog Book/Story - Here's Froggy Froggur

Cuddly Dog Book

Froggy Froggur is the best friend of Cuddly Dog.  He is best described as a happy, crazy, dancing frog.  When he was first created, he actually did start off dancing in my head to the commercial for six flags with the dancing man.

As the years rolled by, his character and songs started to be defined by the music he danced to.  The next song I know he started to dance to was 'Crazy' by Gnarles Barkley, then 'Let's Dance' by Lady Gaga.
Now, I will say Froggy Froggur seems to like Lady Gaga's music more than any other, but I hear him listening to the Black Eyed Peas, Miranda Cosgrove, Justin Timberlake, and recently LMFAO.  Strangely Miranda Cosgrove was the softest of the music, but he said he just liked the song, "Kissing U," because he thought it was a beautiful song.
Anyways, Froggy Froggur Loves all kinds of music, but especially dance music.  So bye for now, and look for his adventures in Cuddly Dog and his upcoming books.

Changing Leaves. Recharging for Cuddly Dog Book/Story

Cuddly Dog Book

Today is a beautiful day.  Now I love working on the Cuddly Dog stories, but sometimes you need to get away.  This particular time of year offers a great opportunity to see the leaves changing.
My personal favorites, here, in the state of Maryland are any of the Civil War sites.  Mainly, the reason is that the Park Service keeps these areas very serene and tranquil.  And since Maryland was deep in the War, there are wide stretches of land that are beautiful to this day.
Antietam Battlefield Western Maryland
Two of my favorite routes to look at leaves are the following:

Route I-70 - It leads from Baltimore to Frederick.  It is a straight shot practically across Maryland for a good Hour.  There are some rest stops and eating areas, not more than twenty minutes apart, but mostly beautiful trees and leaves and countryside.

Route 97 to Gettysburg - This route, which was taught to me by very humble, but resourceful, Carpenters, is on what I consider a lost road.  The best way to get to it is to head West on 795 towards Owings Mills.  Keep going until you see 140 west at Exit 9A (I-think) this will take you through Westminster on a straight road.  As you leave Westminster, you'll see a sign for Gettsyburg 97 on a three-town-sign...there should be a Roy Rogers on the right.
Its a great country road through the Maryland/Pennsylvania farmlands.  There is even a sign that seperates the North from the South...the Mason-Dixon Barrier sign.

Mason Dixon Line
So as I was saying...I believe in doing work all the time, but as a way of maintaining a healthy balance of living, this is a great way to get out of your house and community and just recharge your mental batteries.  Sometimes being cooped up at home makes you want to scream and this is a good way to get out.

As I said before, these roads are great for creativity and are some of the inspirations for the adventures of Cuddly Dog and his friends.
So, good-by for now, and be good to your family and friends.

Gettysburg Ghost Walks - Cuddly Dog Book/Story blog

Cuddly Dog Book

Cuddly Dog and I, with a couple of friends went up to Gettysburg this last Saturday.  We were exploring the historic site and got a little hungry.  So we ate at Picketts Buffet.  Its located right at the site of Pickett's Charge and is an all you can eat, homestyle buffet.  Lots of Meat and Potato stuff with vegetables and a salad bar.  And of course Mom's apple pie for dessert.  Great Place.

Then we went and saw some great frog trinkets at a store called the Heritage.  Its located at the Y-intersection across from the Sheetz gas station.
And finally we went on two ghost tours located at the Farnsworth Inn.  It was great!  We even walked into the haunted woods where a spirit called Elizabeth manifests to people and scares them into running from the woods.  We didn't see her ourselves, but someone caught a picture of an Orb floating in the woods.

It was over in two hours and we had a great time...but when we drove home at 1am, we got stopped by a State Trooper for having a bad tail light.  But the Trooper was polite, and we felt very safe the rest of the way home.
To find out more about Cuddly Dog and his friends, read his book and stay tuned for when his new books come out.  Go to Cuddly Dog on Fastpencil for a preview, or to buy.
   Bye for now.

Cuddly Dog is on Facebook - Nice Book and Story

Cuddly Dog Book

Good Day, Everybody

I would just like to announce that Cuddly Dog has now made himself available on Facebook.  Now understand, Cuddly Dog is fairly new to using it, so he's going to have to get encouragement from his friends to keep up on it.  So please be patient with him.
I would also like to add that Cuddly Dog also got together with his little friends, and they've decided to share a Twitter account that will be called CuddlyDogTalks.
I think Froggy Froggur is the one who talked him into it.  He says they have so many adventures that he wants the World to know.
   He's a funny little frog.
Don't worry.  I will make sure to write down some of their adventures in a few more books that will be coming out soon.
While Cuddly Dog and Froggy Froggur did have a Halloween adventure a little while back, I don't think it will be available until after Halloween sometime.
Happy Halloween
On the plus side, they will be having a holiday adventure coming out very soon for the festive Christmas season.  And as before, they will be available in the traditional book format, and in the e-book downloadable format.  So keep checking in.
I said I would give away little bits of real info about each story...so here it is.  In the story, 'Cuddly Dog', when all the friends look up at the Big Dipper...all the stars that are drawn in the sky...they are real stars you can see.  They really do form that pattern in the night sky during the right time of night, and on the right day.

So, bye for now, and have a fun day.  Be good to your family and friends, and look for your own adventure in every day.

WHO IS CUDDLY DOG? The Cuddly Dog Book/Story

Cuddly Dog Book

Cuddly Dog is a recently created Children's Book with illustrations.  It is available in traditional book format, and also in e-book format for Kindle, and various downloadable media readers.

Cuddly Dog was created over ten years ago. It took many years to give him a voice and personality, and this actually developed by his interaction with his little green pal, Froggy Froggur.

The story is about a big dog, possibly a dark, golden retriever, but the breed is never specified. This is so the reader can use whatever dog he likes to be the character of Cuddly Dog in his own mind.
Anyways, I always thought of him as the sort-of Big Brother, or Uncle, or even the summer camp counselor, that is always there for the other characters. He acts as their Guardian and source of reliable knowledge and experience. A true and loyal friend...like a Dog.
The story opens with the friends getting together to go fishing. This leads to a picnic, and some more fishing. Eventually the day comes to an end and they watch the stars come out before going home.
The book, itself, was almost lost forever. Several publishing companies showed no interest in the story, and it was only through sheer determination that the story made it to the published, and electronic format. We give special thanks to the people at Fastpencil who made the birth of Cuddly Dog into literature a possibility.
We look forward to bringing many more adventures of Cuddly Dog and his little friends to you. With the help of Blogger, we can even share some of the insights into the characters, and some of the inspirations of the scenery in the drawings.
For example, the imagined woods that is used to show their nighttime walk...this is actually based on a real location. I personally call it Cuddly Dog Land, and go their quite often. In reality, it is known as part of the Monocacy National Battlefield located just north of Washington, D.C.
So, for now, I'll go. But I will return. Because this isn't the last we've heard of Cuddly Dog.
