Cuddly Dog's New Year's Plans for 2011/2012

Cuddly Dog Book/Story on Fastpencil

Cuddly Dog had three ideas for this New Year's Eve, and all three are great.  The first: to go to the Annual Mix 107.3 New Year's Eve Party at the Hyatt Regency.  Its located on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.  The only problem, you need to book tickets ahead of time...they're about $420 dollars, and there's only 20 left.  Other than that, there's a great 4 course meal, music by Jack Diamond Band, a champagne balloon drop, and a DJ spinning records until 2am.
The second Idea.  Go to Annapolis First Night near the Naval Academy.  It is an outside event with free entertainment and two fireworks displays.  One in early evening for kids, and one at midnight.
The third idea.  Go to the Baltimore Inner Harbor for Fireworks.  The inner harbor is a great place to spend any weekend, but it is really great to see the New Year's Eve fireworks.
Of all these three, Cuddly Dog and Froggy Froggur have opted to go to the Baltimore inner Harbor, and take some pictures.  So, hope to see you there, and don't be afraid to say 'Hi.'  And, as always, be good to your family and friends and see you next time.

Wishing You A Happy Holiday

Its now officially Christmas Eve, and I know thousands of you out there have purchased the latest in NOOK and Kindle. The links located at the top of the page, and on the bottom, take you to various sites containing our books.
If you need to download books onto your device so that your child will have something to view on Christmas Day, then these links are a great place to start.
We would like to say that Cuddly Dog in the Christmas Storm is an excellent choice to ad to your collection.  It is fully compatible with both eBook readers, and downloads very quickly. It is also relatively inexpensive compared to buying a brand new book.
Cuddly Dog in The Christmas Storm
Many readers love the colorful pictures and follow the story easily.
After the holidays, you can think about downloading the very first story...simply called Cuddly Dog.  It takes place during that time of year between spring and summer.
These two books represent only two in this series.  The others are being written for many occasions and special times of year...but mostly for just pure fun.

Story great for NOOK, Kindle, or regular PC.

Nook refers to a series of electronic book (eBook) readers developed by the American based Barnes and Noble.  They operate on the Android concept of Smartphones and Tablet computers.
Barnes and Noble Nook
First released in 2009, they have evolved from Nook 1st edition into:  the Nook Simple touch, the Nook Color, and the Nook Tablet.  They range in size and price, but deliver the ability to download and read books from available retailers online.  Most books are fairly inexpensive, but more contemporary titles can cost the same as a regular book.
Kindle refers to a series of electronic books readers developed by Amazon.  It allows users to download ebooks, newspapers, magazines and other related digital media.
Amazon Kindle
It also has evolved from its original created in 2007 to:  the Kindle DX with a larger screen, the Kindle Keyboard, the Kindle touch, and the more economical Kindle with onscreen keyboard.
Both eBook readers are excellent, but your best guide is to figure out how much function you want out of your device, and then purchase the device that best performs that function for a reasonable price.
The main advantage of any eBook reader is that you can carry a wide selection of books with you by just downloading the books and not carrying excessive paper.
Finally, if both of these devices are too much for your budget, you can still download most books directly onto your computer to read at home.

We hope this information was useful in your decision to purchase an eBook reader, and as we've stated before, Cuddly Dog is compatible on all three formats.
So,...bye for now, and be good to your family and friends...and don't be afraid to click on the icons below and preview our books.

Cuddly Dog meets Abraham Lincoln & Santa Claus

Today was exactly one week before Christmas Eve, and Cuddly Dog and Froggy Froggur decided to see if they could have a little adventure.  So, the two of them went out looking through the local towns in search of Abraham Lincoln and Santa Claus.
It didn't take them long, and in a local town, they did meet Abraham Lincoln,...and Froggy Froggur, being a little curious, wanted to see what was in his hat.
Froggy Froggur with Abraham Lincoln
A little later, they were very lucky to meet Santa Claus, and they even got to have their picture taken with him and receive a present.
Of course, nobody would believe that our two adventurer's would be lucky enough to meet two celebrities, so it was a good idea that they brought Tom along to take pictures.  Now they have their proof.
Cuddly Dog & Froggy Froggur meet Santa Claus
After meeting both famous people, they looked around a little bit more, but it started to get real cold.  Than Froggy Froggur saw some snowflakes and so they decided to go home.
Luckily, they downloaded all their pictures to their Facebook Page where you can also enjoy them.
So, visit their page and share in today's adventure.  If you like, you can follow the links at the Top and Bottom of the page, or download one of their stories to your PC, Kindle, or Nook device and enjoy a beautiful eBook.
So, be good to your family and friends, and we'll see you next time.

Cuddly Dog & Froggy Froggur see Washington, D.C.

We know a lot of young children would like to know what Cuddly Dog and Froggy Froggur do when they are not having adventures in their books.  Well, we have pictures of some of the things they did just this weekend.
On Saturday, December 10th, Cuddly Dog and Froggy Froggur went on a Christmastime field trip with Tom and Kelly To Washington, DC.
Froggy Froggur in Washington, DC
They took the subway in...its called the Metrorail.  They than visited the museums, ate at the Native American Indian Museum, saw the real Kermit the Frog, and then visited the National Tree Park.  They even were in the crowd when the police showed up because someone said they saw Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.  But Cuddly Dog and Froggy Froggur didn't see them.
After the day was over, they took the Greenline Subway home, and we even have a picture of the subway tunnel.  So, if you are outside somewhere, and you see a little frog and a dog taking pictures,...you just might be looking at Cuddly Dog and Froggy Froggur out on one of their adventures.
Froggy Froggur in subway station

For those of you who have never been to DC, the best time to go is on the weekend and by using the Metrorail system.
What you do, is you take your car to the nearest Metrorail station and park in their garage or parking area.  On the weekends the parking is free.  Makes sure you have a five dollar bill for each person.  This five dollar bill will buy you a Day Pass at the ticket Vending Machines.
Once you have your day pass, go wherever you want all day long using the Metrorail.  It has color coded maps that even Froggy Froggur can understand.
So, good bye for now, and be good to your family and friends

In The Christmas Storm

Its the first weekend of December, and already Cuddly Dog in The Christmas Storm is getting lots of traffic.  We hope that it will be picked up soon by Amazon.com like the original story "Cuddly Dog", but until then, this newest story can be accessed directly from Fastpencil.com.
Cuddly Dog in The Christmas Storm
Already people are talking about the warm feelings they get from this book and its characters.  Its been said that the feelings of fun and happiness that the friends feel for each other bring back cherished memories in adults, and create happy good memories for little children.
Some people say they start smiling and laughing before they get past the first two pages...and of course, there is everyone's favorite character, besides Cuddly Dog...Froggy Froggur.
Froggy Froggur
Of course, what story would be complete without parties and adventure...and in this story, there is just the perfect amount needed to make for a great family moment.  Without giving any of the story away, there is fast moving sleds, snowmobiles, little explosions, parties, and even a little history to keep everyone's attention, and most certainly the dreaded winter storm. But lets not forget, also, the Brave and Heroic actions of Cuddly Dog and Froggy Froggur that make the story complete.
So, don't be the last to know about two of the newest hero's of Christmas, and download a copy onto your computer for practically nothing.  While this is a New Book, it was made purposely inexpensive so that everyone could enjoy in their adventure, either on their computer, Kindle, or any other eBook reader.  We know that people are buying less books, so their actual hardcopy production is very costly.  But if you feel like you want to buy a real book, there is a link to get one ordered.
The real book was designed to be a coffee table book.  Its got a big, hard cover, and has large colorful pages that make it perfect to sit in front of the Christmas tree and read,...or sit in bed with your children to read aloud. It was designed that way for one reason...we believe that's how a children's Christmas book should look.
We would also like to add...we hope this story goes around the World just as quickly as Cuddly Dog. His story is already being offered on Amazon UK, Amazon France, Amazon Germany, Amazon Denmark, and Amazon Italy to just name a few...not to mention the many independent labels that have decided to carry his story.  We've even had people tell us they've seen it translated into other languages.  All of this in just a few months
What is the magic of Cuddly Dog?  We can only imagine that it somehow makes people feel good with its wholesome characters and pureness of story...we don't know.
But, we encourage you to share in the adventure.  So,...be good to your family and friends, and look for more adventures of Cuddly Dog to be released in the New Year.  Bye for now.

Cuddly Dog in his 2nd Book: The Christmas Storm (circa 2011)

I took great joy in writing Cuddly Dog in The Christmas Storm .  The only thing I enjoyed more...was doing the illustrations and coloring them in.
Now if we have any aspiring young artists out there, I just want you to know that I never went to Art School, or took any formal training.  I had Art class in elementary school like everyone else, and doodled spaceships and aliens on all my notebooks during class.  As for the colors...I only use Crayola Colored Pencils to color in my characters.
In the past, I've tried other things like crayons, or markers, or even other colored pencils, but nothing gets the colors or effects that I can achieve when using Crayola Colored pencils.  With just the right amount of pressure, and a reliable texture, they just can't be beat.
Now, since this is a Christmas story, I did my best to make it the best I could.  That is why I went with the traditional big Hardcover book.  I remembered that some of the best holiday books I had, were the ones that were huge and colorful, and I wanted to give that experience to young children everywhere.
Unfortunately, the massive size of the book made it very expensive, and even with me marking it down as low as I dared, it still had a big price tag.  So, the only thing I could really do, is make it available to also be viewed on a computer screen, or on an eBook reader for $3.99
   That is a relative steal!
Why be so generous?  It's the holidays!  What good is it to have a great Christmas story if no one can afford to read it? None.  I just wanted to be able to offer a new storybook at a greatly reduced price so that anyone with a computer could afford it...and watch it instantly.  And,...if you so wish, later on you can order the actual book, and have it to pass down to your children, or give as a gift.
Anyways, I also would like to give my acknowledgement to Kelly M. Gastiger.
Kelly M. Gastiger and the Geico gecko at Andrews AFB air show
As stated before, and in many articles, she is an integral part of the creation of Cuddly Dog and his friends.  Without her feedback, and ideas, a lot of what makes our characters come alive would be missing.  So once again, Thanks Kelly!
Oh,...if you don't know what the Christmas story is about, its like this...Cuddly Dog and his friends are asked to help create an amazing Christmas time for the children in their neighborhood.  Of course, they all agree and help set up an amazing surprise...but just before they can reveal their surprise, a giant storm hits their town, and its up to the courage of Cuddly Dog and Froggy Froggur to save the day.
It is a great feel good story about friendship, and the things you can accomplish if you just believe you can make a difference.
So, good bye for now, and be good to your family and friends.

Cuddly Dog in The Christmas Storm

This is the second book in the adventures of Cuddly Dog and his friends.  In this Christmas edition of Cuddly Dog, Cuddly Dog and his friends have made plans to create a memorable Christmas for the kids in their neighborhood, a truly wonderful time.  But all their plans may be ruined by a surprise storm that blows in and it is up to Cuddly Dog and Froggy Froggur to save the day.
Cuddly Dog in The Christmas Storm

This is a truly heartwarming story of friendship and the ability to believe that things will get better if you only try to make them better.

Cuddly Dog on Amazon.com Happy Thanksgiving Week

Froggy Froggur wanted me to mention that there are a lot of stores offering Black Friday specials early.  If you have a computer you can use the Mozilla Firefox page to help you look for stores that are offering specials.  He likes using it because its a big white space that helps him focus on what he's looking for.
We also want to wish everybody an early Happy Thanksgiving because we know a lot of people will be busy, or be traveling...and one more thing...we want to wish everybody a safe holiday, be safe and be careful.
Bye for now, and be good to your family and friends.  You can still find Cuddly Dog on Fastpencil, and Cuddly Dog on Amazon.com, but it is also found on many other sites, and we'd like to thank those people as well.
   Have a safe week!

Cuddly Dog eBook/Book/Story on Amazon.com everywhere

Tom took us to see the dedication ceremony in Gettysburg today.  This weekend is the Remembrance Day Parade where thousands of people from all over America, and even the World, come together to hear the re-enactment of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg address.
It is a great occasion, especially since Tom knows I love history.  He even promised to do a little research and write an adventure book about me in Gettysburg sometime in the future.  We were even treated to something special...the dedication ceremony was hosted by acclaimed screen actor Stephen Lang.
Stephen Lang
Stephen Lang has been in many movies, but in Gettysburg, he is most beloved for playing the unfortunate man, who had the distinction of leading the confederate charge against the Union Army, General Pickett.
Afterwards, we ate at the restaurant that is located next to that battlefield and dedicated to him, Pickett's Buffet.
We also want to say we are so happy to see that our Cuddly Dog story has made it around the World to the different countries, and in different languages. Here's a few examples:
   Amazon.com  in America   -  Amazon.com
   Amazon.com  in the UK  -  Amazon.com.uk
   Amazon.com in Germany  -  Amazon.de: HappyDog Sachbucher
   Amazon.com in France  -  Amazon.fr:
We hope you continue to follow our stories, as we bring them to you.  We also wanted to say that little Froggy Froggur has a way of finding the happiness in simple items...and that's why, in the story, he finds the specialness of a simple stick, outside, and it comes to mean so much to him.
So, until next time, be good to your friends and family, and don't be afraid to give them a hug when they need it.

Cuddly Dog and his upcoming Christmas book and story

Cuddly Dog Book

Cuddly Dog on Facebook

     Good Day, everybody.

The second book of the adventures in Cuddly Dog's Land is not far off.  It is a great pleasure writing about such great friends who cherish each other and do their best to have fun.  Of course, they disagree and play tricks, and get into mischief like everyone else, but they don't do anything with evil in their hearts.
One of the most loved characters, who everybody seems to be magnetically drawn to, is Froggy Froggur.  I love all my characters, but I do love him a little more.  If you haven't noticed, on his neck he wears a red tie with little gold hearts all over it...except for one...which is a gold diamond.  This little bit of change tells you that Froggy Froggur has a true heart of Gold, but with just a touch of Something else.  Not anything bad, just something else.
Froggy Froggur
I just want to say that the rough draft for the Christmas edition of the next adventure of Cuddly Dog has been met with positive results, and I hope others find it heartwarming as well.
So, I have to leave for now, or I'll never get it out for the holidays.  Remember, all the books are available on Downloads to computers or electronic book readers at a very cheap rate. I'm sorry to say that people aren't buying paper books anymore, and so the price for a hard copy is expensive...so I strongly suggest the downloads...unless of course you are a hardcore book reader and want something you can hold onto and pass down for generations.

So be good to each other, especially to your family and friends.
